Dear: Residents and business owners of Scarborough-Agincourt,
I am pleased to announce that I am your Ontario Liberal Party candidate here in the great community of Scarborough-Agincourt in the June 2022 provincial election. I am privileged to be your candidate, as I believe I have the experience, knowledge, and strength to be the strong voice we need for Scarborough-Agincourt at Queen’s Park.
During the recent federal election, while my team and I had been helping MP Jean Yip canvas during the recent federal election; making phone calls and putting up campaign signs, I was particularly touched by so many of you in the community who greeted me at the door with warmth, strongly encouraging me to be your provincial candidate once again!
As we work through the next wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and its continual uncertainty, it’s clear that Scarborough-Agincourt needs a strong community leader at Queen’s Park.
Your voices and calls of support only strengthened my resolve to represent this community, with your interests at heart: fighting for higher standards of care for our seniors living in long-term care homes or at home in our community, strengthening our education system, helping children and youth in our schools’ graduate with the tools needed for them to be our future leaders, stronger provincial policies that help our families and small businesses get through the pandemic.
It’s clear that Scarborough-Agincourt cannot afford another four years of having no voice at the provincial level.
As a front-line health care professional and executive director of a not-for-profit long-term care home, I know intimately the many provincial missteps and delays in responses during the COVID-19 pandemic and its tragic consequences. Yet, I and the Ontario Liberal Party have the solutions to address those missteps, helping strengthen our communities.
It’s clear that residents and business owners of Scarborough-Agincourt deserve a strong, competent, and experienced person championing for them at Queen’s Park.
I believe I demonstrate an extraordinary commitment, experience, knowledge, and willingness to serve the residents and businesses in Scarborough-Agincourt and be a strong voice for you at the Ontario Legislature.
As a front-line health care professional and executive director of a not-for-profit long-term care home in the GTA, I am prepared to fight for timely, effective, and transparent seniors care across Ontario, and be a voice for all families and businesses at Queen’s Park. Soo Wong
